Send Us Your Frame

1. If you live in the Tucson area, please contact us so we can arrange to pick up your frame; or
2. You can ship your frame directly to us or have your local bike shop ship it to us.

Before you or your bike shop send the frame, you will need to:

1. Remove ALL parts from your frame/wheel.  We only want the frame (or wheel) sent to us. Include the fork only if it is damaged. Complete wheels can be sent since we’ll remove spokes as necessary to effect the repairs.

2. Fill out the Repair Form and include it in the box with your frame or wheel.

3. Ship the box to the address on the form. We recommend USPS (registered), FedEX, UPS or DHL since each of those can be insured and tracked.  You can also check out www.bikeflights.com, or if you are in California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Washington or Idaho, you can use Golden State Overnight (www.gso.com) which has competitive overnight shipping within this 6 state region.  Please forward us the tracking information so we can be on the look out for your frame.

4. We will contact you by email or phone within 3 business days of receiving your frame/wheel to confirm the repair estimate.  We charge a $50 inspection fee on all repairs.  This will be credited toward your frame repair.  If you do not have Carbon-Fix do the repair job, you wil have to pay the $50 fee plus the shipping charges before we ship your frame back to you.

NOTE: Although we would like to be able to estimate based on photographs and written descriptions, we have found that it is impossible since photos cannot replace a microscope, magnifying glass, ultra sound and human touch when it comes to assessing damage and formulating a repair strategy.

Estimates:
Email repairs@carbon-fix.com for more information on estimates and lead times. Estimates given via email or verbally are non-binding until we have inspected the bike and subsequently provide a written estimate. We can typically, inspect and complete an estimate within 1-3 working days of receipt of the frame and perform the repairs and ship the frame within 1 week of receiving your approval and deposit.  Ask us about out expedited repair service if you need a faster turn-around.
