With this background, we can repair almost any level of frame damage. We apply the same technology, techniques and testing to your bike frame that we use for the manufacture and repair of aircraft components. Equipment includes state of the art autoclave and low temperature curing furnaces, advanced ultrasonic testing equipment, CNC machining and forming, and a variety of other composite repair and evaluation tools.
Repairs and Capabilities
Carbon-Fix is excited to offer repair services to owners of carbon fiber bike frame and carbon wheels located anywhere in the U.S. Our team has over twenty years of experience working with carbon composites. We starting doing carbon bike frame repairs four years ago. Our repair process is unlike any other currently being done, as our process leaves the repaired area stronger than it was in the original frame. Having performed hundreds of repairs, we are confident in our repair work and offer lifetime integrity of our repairs. We have experienced a 100% success on our repairs to date, even after a repaired frame undergoes a future crash!
Carbon-Fix understands the importance of keeping the repaired frame as light as possible because every gram counts. We also try to have fast turn around times, so you can be back on your bike as quickly as possible. Most repairs take about one week from when we receive your frame, and we also offer expedited service for those who need the frame sooner. Standard repairs will be finished with a black or white band of paint, depending on the original frame color.
If you want your frame painted to match existing colors and clearcoat to be reapplied, we also offer that service for an additional charge. The turn-around time will be longer depending on the complexity of the paint job. All repairs will leave the frame with the original curves and contours, so if you decide in the future to have it painted, there will be no “feathering” or additional bodywork needed.
